| Contemporary “Taking Off”, a steel and galvanized sheet jack rabbit. Usually the animals we do are in repose so that viewers can more easily become part of the theater of the installation. But having done so much work with structural steel I have really wanted to utilize the potential of the material more. I love the energy of the cantilevered mass of this form. It really captures the dynamic moment of a leaping rabbit in a physically palpable way, especially in real life. |
