Tangodog© Story

Twenty-eight years ago, Diego Lukezic was a young boy living in Buenos Aires Argentina, the homeland to Tango music. During the winter, when the city was gray, cold and frosty, Diego and his mother would walk to the outdoor market, one block from the market was "TangoMan" he wore a coat and a black hat that covered his face. He sat on a wooden crate with his Bandoleon (a tango music instrument) on his lap.
He played beautiful music for coins. Sitting next to him was his dog "Tango"; he was a mixed breed, white with black spots. This little dog was Diego's favorite part about going to the market. Each trip Diego would ask his mother for some change to tip the Tango Man, using this as an excuse to play with Tangodog. This happened every day for several years. Everything was perfect until his family moved to another
neighborhood in Buenos Aires.

Diego missed Tango terribly; he knew that Tango missed him too. Diego could not forget the expression in Tangodog's eyes as he walked away, the last day in the old neighborhood. This is when Diego began to draw Tango dog.

Many years went by...
One day after school, Diego went to visit his Grandmother, near his old neighborhood. As Diego crossed a street, a man who wore a hat that tilted onto his face caught his eye. Diego knew it was the TangoMan.
Diego ran to him and asked, "Where is Tango, your dog?" With a frown TangoMan replied, "He is dead and so is my music."

Diego responded, He is dead for you, but not for me, he will live forever in my drawings.

For Diego, Tangodog does live eternally in his paintings...and it's all about the adventure!
